Fechner Day is celebrated on October 22 each year. It is dedicated to the German philosopher, physicist, and psychologist Gustav Fechner credited with founding psychophysics, the study of the relation between physical stimuli and sensations.
1915 – The railway station is opened in Semipalatinsk city.
1993 – The agreement on friendship relations and cooperation is signed between Kazakhstan and Mongolia in the city of Ulaanbaatar.
1997 – The special anniversary session of the UNGA takes place in New York with then-President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev delivering a keynote speech on the prospects and goals of the UN for the next decades.
2003 – The initiative of Kazakh leading scholars on the establishment of the public association National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan is approved by the Presidential Decree.
2009 – Then-President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev is awarded the highest award of Turkey as appreciation for his role in developing the bilateral relations and Turkic world.

2017 – Poland’s postal operator issues the stamp devoted to Expo 2017 held in the Kazakh capital.
2018 – The Kazakh team is given the 1st place in the ‘The best use of hardware’ nomination of Nasa Space Apps challenge for their work enabling to analyze data on volcanoes and asteroids.
2019 – The short film Dombra directed by Ramazan Khaliolla is given the Best Film prize at the 8th Delhi Shorts International Film Festival.
2019 – First Kazakh President-Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev takes part in the official ceremony of enthronement of Emperor Naruhito taken place at the State Hall Matsu-no-Ma of the Imperial Palace.
