World Day Against the Death Penalty is on October 10 to advocate for the abolition of the death penalty and to raise awareness of the conditions and the circumstances which affect prisoners with death sentences.
World Mental Health Day is marked on October 10 is an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. It was first celebrated in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health.
1997 – The presidential address «Prosperity, security and eve growing welfare of all the Kazakhstanis» also known as Kazakhstan-2030 is made public.
2000 – The Eurasian Economic Community is formed. It includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, with Ukraine, Moldavia and Armenia as observer States.
2011 – The unveiling ceremony of the monument to the prominent Kazakh thinker Kazybek bi takes place in Karaganda city.
2013 – The anniversary exhibition of paintings and graphic works of the Kazakh people’s artist Aubakir Ismailov opens at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on the sidelines of the 192nd session of the UNESCO Executive Board.
2016 – Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia set up the International Association of Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, headquartered in Nur-Sultan.
2017 – Shymbulak is named the most popular ski resort in the CIS based on the data on the online early bookings system for the 2017/18 winter season.
2018 – Then President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev presents the Vatican Pontifical Commission the first award for contributing to the interfaith dialogue during the opening of the 6th session of the Congress of Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions.
2019 – The International Figure Skating Competition Series Denis Ten Memorial Challenge gathering figure skaters from 18 countries takes place for the first time in Almaty city. The event dedicated to the memory of the Olympic champion, Kazakhstan figure skater Denis Ten was sponsored by the International Skating Union at Halyk Arena.
