Kazakhstan celebrates Gratitude Day
NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM Today, March 1, Kazakhstan celebrates the Gratitude Day.
The holiday was initiated by the First President of Kazakhstan –Elbasy, Nursultan Nazarbayev, at the 22nd session of the People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan in 2015. The Gratitude day was established in 2016. On this very day representatives of all ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan may express gratitude to each other and Kazakhs for tolerance and hospitality during the years of deportation to Kazakhstan.
The holiday is celebrated the nationwide for it symbolizes the common historical memory, unity, respect and solidarity of the people of Kazakhstan.
Various celebratory events are to be held around the country with the only goal to preserve peace and accord.
