Tokyo reports 522 daily virus cases, tops 500 for 2nd day in row

TOKYO. KAZINFORM - The Tokyo metropolitan government reported 522 more coronavirus cases Friday, an official said, as Japan remains on high alert amid a resurgence of infections, Kyodo reports.

The daily figure for the capital topped 500 for the second straight day though it was down slightly from the record 534 marked Thursday.
