1918 - Alash, a Kazakh national movement, declares illegal all the decrees of the Soviet Government in Kazakhstan.

2002 - Tselinny district of North Kazakhstan region is renamed after Gabit Musrepov, a Kazakh national writer, one of the founders of literature and dramaturgy of Kazakhstan.

2008 - President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev is awarded the Grand Cross of the National Order of the Legion of Honor (France) in recognition of his merits in developing Kazakh-French cooperation.

2010 - Summarizing the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit hosted by Tashkent, Uzbek President Islam Karimov hands over the SCO Chairman powers to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

2013 - President Nursultan Nazarbayev receives a letter from close relatives and descendants of the soldiers of the 106th Kazakh National Cavalry Division. They thank Nursultan Nazarbayev for the documentary, which tells about the soldiers' acts of heroism during World War II, created by the TV and Radio Complex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2014 - The flag of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) is handed over to Kazakhstan. Astana EXPO 2017 is officially recognized at the 155th session of the BIE General Assembly.

2015 - Addressing a plenary session of the V Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Astana, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev proposes to establish the Badge of Honor and the Award "For contribution to developing and strengthening spiritual peace and harmony".

2017 - Jambyl Jabayev Street is opened near the park named after famous Kazakh poet Suiinbai Aronuly in Ankara, Turkey.

- Astana (now Nur-Sultan) hosts the Ministerial Conference and the Eighth International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development.
