1936 - Moscow hosted First Decade of the Kazakh Literature and Art.
1998 - In Almaty, at the 5th Summit of the Organization of Economic Cooperation, the Almaty Declaration of OEC was adopted. The document determines the main areas of development of cooperation in transport and communications, agriculture, ecology and environmental protection.
2000 - During the state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus awarded Leader of Nation Nursultan Nazarbayev with the Order of Vytautas the Great for his personal contribution to the development of interstate relations between Lithuania and Kazakhstan.
2001 - Astana (now Nur-Sultan) unveiled a monument to Kazakh statesman and warrior Kenessary Kassymov. The authors of the monument are sculptor Nurlan Dalbay, architect Shota Ualikhanov, engineer Abdysagit Tatygulov and master of casting Valery Konyukhov. The height of the monument is 7 meters and its weight is 10 tonnes. Kenessary Kassymov is a grandson of Abylai Khan, the last Kazakh Khan who fought for the country's independence and led struggles against the Russian Empire, Kokand and Khiva khanates.
2013 - Kazakhstan Central Concert Hall of Astana (now Nur-Sultan) held an opening ceremony of the 1st International Classic Music Festival and the Contest of Young Pianists. The event titled as Astana Piano Passion brought together 30 pianists, young talents from Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Japan, the U.S., Australia, South Korea, Denmark, Italy, Armenia, Singapore and China.
2013 - First President of Kazakhstan and President of Turkmenistan - Nursultan Nazarbayev and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow - agreed on opening a consular office of Turkmenistan in Aktau and Kazakhstan's consular office in Türkmenbaşy.
2017 - An observation deck was opened at Mangilik El Triumphal Arch. It is located at the very top of the 21.5-meter-high arch.
2018 - Nazerke Nurgali from Kyzylorda became a winner of the World Schools Individual Championships 2018 in Durres, Albania, among school-students under 15.
2018 - A scientific and educational expedition QazaqGeography was launched in Astana (now Nur-Sultan). The expedition moved to the North and South Aral and aimed at gathering unique photo and video materials. The expedition ran almost 7,000km via the territory of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on the following route: Astana-Karaganda-Balkhash-Shu-Taraz-Shymkent-Tahskent-Samarkand-Bukhara-Urgench-Nukus-Muinak-Aral Sea-Beineu-Bozoy-Aral Sea-Aralsk-Kyzylorda-Zhazkazgan-Karaganda-Astana.
