World Meteorological Day
It was initiated by the United Nations. The celebrations have been held since 1961 in honor of the establishment of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) in 1950.
1992 - Kazakhstan and Hungary exchange notes on the establishment of diplomatic relations. Hungary is one of the first countries to recognize Kazakhstan as an independent state. In 1993, Kazakhstan's first diplomatic mission in Central and Eastern Europe is opened in Budapest.
1995 - The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Lithuania opens its doors in the light of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
1997 - The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, visits Madrid and meets with the mayor of the city, Alvarez del Manzano, who presents the Kazakh Leader with the symbolic golden key to Madrid.
2010 - Secondary School No. 229 in Moscow is named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Bauyrzhan Momyshuly. In fact, the school is located at the place of the battles for the defense of Moscow (the Battle of Moscow) and the unfadable act of courage of the 316th Division soldiers under the command of Ivan Panfilov during World War II.
2016 - The UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere Programme (MAB) International Coordination Council includes the Barsa-Kelmes Nature Reserve, which is located in Aral district of Kyzylorda region, in the World Network of Biosphere Reserves (WNBR).
2017 - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev sign 13 intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents during a meeting in Astana.
- Kazinform International News Agency and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Secretariat ink the Cooperation Agreement in Beijing. The document is signed by Kazinform's Deputy General Director Zhassulan Toiboldin and SCO Deputy Secretary-General Wang Kaiwen. Kazinform correspondent in China Sadyk Akizhanov is elected as Vice President of the SCO Press Club.
