1993 - Kazakhstan launches the first ever flight from Almaty to Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates.
1999 - A street in Cairo, Egypt, is named after Abai Qunanbaiuly, a great Kazakh poet, composer and philosopher.
2010 - The final decision on the accession of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Bologna Declaration is made in Budapest, Hungary.
- The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan opens its doors in Dresden, Germany.
2013 - Ankara hosts the official opening of the Year of Mukan Tulebayev, a prominent composer who made an invaluable contribution to the development of the Kazakh national classical music.
2014 - The permanent representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Seychelles to the United Nations, Kairat Abdrakhmanov and Marie-Louise Potter, respectively, signed the Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in New York.
