The Kurmangazy Kazakh State Orchestra was established in 1934 by academician Akhmet Zhubanov. The orchestra was awarded the prize and title of the laureate of the IV World Youth and Students' Festival in Bucharest in 1953.

The law of Kazakh SSR "On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR" was adopted in 1991 to determine the status of the cabinet of ministers, its composition, main tasks and duties. The Cabinet was set up on November 20, 1990 as a result of reformation of the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR.

The protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Argentine Republic was signed in 1993.

The Great Silk Road - 1,000 years later project kicked off in 2010 in Almaty. It has no analogues in the CIS countries and worldwide. It is an auto-expedition roaming through the capitals and large cultural centers of 16 countries along the Great Silk Road.

In 2011, the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan awarded special correspondent of Kazinform News Agency at Baikonur Space Centre Sara Nurgaliyeva with the prize for The Nomad of the Universe film devoted to the development of Kazakhstan's space activities.

A block of one stamp dated to the 20th anniversary of Peoples' Assembly of Kazakhstan was launched in 2015. Its nominal value is KZT 200.

A postal stamp dated to the 125th anniversary of great Kazakhstani writer Magzhan Zhumabayev was introduced in 2018.
