1930 - Construction of the 1st Karaganda mine on Verkhyaya Marianna coal bed (later No.3 named after S.Kirov) began
1991 - The Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR adopted a decree "On the Charter of the National State Bank of the Kazakh SSR". As per the document, the National State Bank was passed into the ownership of the republic and became the Central Bank.
1992 - I Forum of Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs with the participation of business communities, public organizations, top officials of the country, heads of ministries and departments was held.
1992 - Kazakhstan joined TURKSOY, the international organization uniting Turkic-speaking countries whose goal is to promote cooperation among the Turkic-speaking nations for preserving, developing and handing down common material and cultural monuments of the Turkic-speaking peoples to the future generations. The organization is headquartered in Ankara (Turkey).
1992 - First passenger train was launched between Almaty and Urumqi (China).
2003 - New Land Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan was adopted.
2013 - Well-known Kazakh singer and composer, founder of Kazakhstan's URKER Ethnic Pop Band Aidos Sagat became first Goodwill Ambassador of the UN Refugee Agency in Kazakhstan.
2013 - First issues of the West Kazakhstan's regional newspapers - Oral Oniri and Priuralye - were found in the State Archives of the Russian Federation.
2013 - JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, Russian Railways and Belarus Railways signed an agreement on establishment of a joint transport and logistics company.
2016 - A commemorative plaque in honor of Bagytzhan Kalybay was unveiled in Atyrau region. Soldier Bagytzhan Kalybay died in September 2015 during a drill on the Caspian Sea. He died as a hero in an attempt to save his fellow servicemen The plaque was installed at the school where he studied in Baigetobe village of Makat municipality.
2017 - Akan Satayev's film "A Road to Mother" was recognized the best feature film at a film festival in New York. Kazakhstani Altynai Nogerbek was named the Best Actress
2018 - XX century masterpieces from the collection of the Kasteyev Museum were exhibited at the Grand Gallery of the National Arts Club in New York.The exhibition showcased the best examples of the collection of Kazakhstan's Art of 1930-70s.
