In 1964 Ybyrai Altynsarin opened the first school for Kazakh children in Turgai (Orenburg fortress).
The I Congress of the Union of Cinematographers of Kazakhstan took place in 1963. Shaken Aimanov was selected the first secretary.
The palace of schoolchildren named after first Kazakh cosmonaut Tokhtar Aubakirov was solemnly unveiled in 1992 in Zhezkazgan.
In 1997 Zhambyl was renamed as Taraz.
In 2007 the Kazakhstan-France Friendship Society was opened in Paris. The society initiated by our compatriots living in France was named after Mustafa Shokai, the distinguished political figires of the national history of the first mid of the last century, one of the heads of the Alash Orda Party.
In 2014 young dombra players of the ensemble of the Kazakh folk instruments of Astana music school 2 won the first place at the international music competition held in China.
In 2016 the world's largest online shopping destinations, Amazon, started selling Leadership Perspectives book in English. It is a collection of speeches of President Nursultan Nazarbayev delieverd during the period of 2012-2015.
In 2016 Kazakhstan's illusionist Ruslan Ivanchenkov was included into the Guinness World Records.
In 2018 Kazakh figure skaters two bronze, one silver and one gold medals at the FBMA Trophy held in Abu Dhabi.
