In 1992, the joint communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the People's Republic of China was signed in Almaty. Besides, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the PRC was adopted there.
In 1996, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Republic of Kazakhstan was renamed as the Traffic Police.
In 2005, a memorial plaque in honor of Hero of the Soviet Union Makhmet Kairbayev was unveiled in Pavlodar. During World War II, Makhmet Kairbayev commanded a regiment and a battery within the Kalinin and Byelorussian fronts from 1943. He was twice awarded the Order of the Patriotic War (twice), the Order of Alexander Nevsky, and medals. In 1944, the 19-year-old Kazakh man became the Hero of the Soviet Union for the battle near Šiauliai.
"White Aruana", a book by famous Kazakh writer, laureate of the Sholokhov International Prize Sabit Dosanov, which was translated into French, was published in Paris in 2007.
In 2008, a unique CD, opening up a colorful, illustrated book about Kazakhstan to the general public and, primarily, to the younger generation of Poles, was released in Warsaw. The first presentation is symbolically called "Moj Kazachstan" ("My Kazakhstan") and contains 142 slides of illustrated information about the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan: colorful photographs of historical monuments, famous literature and music figures, costumes of 130 nationalities of Kazakhstan, international meetings of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and the other top officials of the country, and the cities of Astana and Almaty. The second presentation "Inwestycje w Republice Kazachstanu" ("Investment in the Republic of Kazakhstan") contains 22 informative slides telling about the economic policy, the state of the economy, investment priorities, and innovative projects in Kazakhstan.
In 2018, a monument to Makhambet Otemisuly, a Kazakh poet, hero, and political figure, was unveiled in Atyrau region.
