Kazakhstan and Iran signed a protocol on establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992 based on principals of mutual trust, mutual regard for sovereignty and independence, observance of principles of international security and aimed at further development of friendly ties on the principles of good neighbourliness, serving political and economic interests and security of both sides.
