The first edition of Kazakhstanskaya Pravda newspaper came out in 1931. It was a weekly newspaper which went to press on Thursdays.

The Association of Businesswomen was founded in 1995 in Kazakhstan.

In 1997, Magnitogorskaya Street of Almaty was renamed after Idris Nogaibayev. Nogaibayev is a Kazakh actor, people's artist of the USSR, laureate of two State Prizes of the USSR.

Astana Encyclopedia was published in 2009 to depict the history of the city, its economics, people, culture, education, science, historical and cultural heritage sites, etc.

In 2010, Kazakh Ambassador to Russia Zautbek Turisbekov met with Moscow Mayor Yuri Lyuzhkov. The parties agreed on naming one of the Moscow secondary schools after Bauyrzhan Momyshuly.

In 2014, permanent representative of Kazakhstan to the UN Kairat Abdrakhmanov and permanent representative of Trinidad and Tobago to the UN Rodney Charles signed in New York a joint communique on establishing diplomatic relations between the two states.

In 2014, Dr. Chungwon Choue, World Taekwondo Federation's President, awarded President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev the WTF Honorary 9th Dan, corresponding belt and kimono.

In 2016, the World Congress of Turkic-Speaking Countries gave the Al Farabi Kazakh National University the title of the Best University of the Turkic Countries.
