In 1919, Verny (today's Almaty) hosted the meeting of poets, zhyrshy, with Zhambyl Zhabayev taking part in it.

In 1932, Sovetskaya Step (Soviet Steppe) was renamed as Kazakhstanskaya Pravda Daily.

The first Gals TV broadcasting satellite was launched from Baikonur in 1994.

In 1994, the specialized commercial savings bank of Kazakhstan was reorganized into Halyk Bank.

The bicameral parliament of Kazakhstan started its work in 1994.

Kalkaman-Mamyr opera-ballet was nationally premiered in 2007 at the Baisseitova National Opera and Ballet Theatre.

In 2010, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the Law of Kazakhstan On Forensic Expert Activity in Kazakhstan.

As part of the visit of the Kazakh delegation to Brussels led by Deputy Defense Minister Bulat Sembinov the NATO + Kazakhstan format meeting took place in 2010.

In 2014, Kazakhstan for the first time ever took part in the World Future Energy Summit held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

In 2018, Kazakhstan and France established the Abay-Verne scholarship program. The new mobility program for Kazakh students is financed by the Government of France in partnership with the Center for International Programs of Kazakhstan.

The Centre of Kazakhstan's Literature and Culture was unveiled in 2018 at one of the world's largest libraries, the New York Public Library.
