1920 – The first Kazakh news agency, Orenburg-Turgai Department of the Russian Telegraph Agency (ROSTA), is founded. Since 1925 it is renamed as KazROSTA. Later on it is renamed as KazTAG to work during 1937-1997. On September 10, 1997 the President decrees to reorganize it into KazAAG. On November 8, 2002 pursuant to the Government decree Kazinform National Compoany JSC is founded on the ground of KazAAG. In 2008 Kazinform NC JSC joins the Arna Media National Information Holding. On August 1, 2011 Kazinform is reorganized through joining Kazakhstan Republican TV and Radio Corporation. Kazinform International News Agency LLP is registered on October 16, 2014 by the decision of the Board of Kazakhstan Republican TV and Radio Corporation.
2007 – As a result of archeological excavations carried out in West Kazakhstan region a door to the dungeon where Makhambet Utemissiov was thrown in is found.
2012 – Kazakhstan’s boxer Serik Sapiyev is awarded The Val Barker Trophy.
2014 – For the first time ever the Berlin Symphonic Orchestra accompanies the solo concert of well-known Kazakhstan’s violin player Aiman Musakhodzhayeva.
2018 – The popular StreetArtNews portal acknowledges Astana artist Dmitry Levochkin’s graffiti as one of the best in the world.
