The Constitutional Law of Kazakhstan "On elections in Kazakhstan" was adopted in 1995.

A monument honoring writer Oralkhan Bokey (1943-1993) was unveiled in Almaty in 1996 at the Kensai cemetery.

A monument to Mustafa Shokai, Alashorda activist, was opened in 1999 in Aktau.

"Al-Farabi‘s legacy and world culture" two-day international congress took place in Almaty in 2000. Leading experts from Kazakhstan, Central Asian countries, Turkey, Iran, Syria and Russia attended the event dated to the 1500th anniversary of Turkestan.

The Republican University Hospital opened its doors in Astana in 2001. The hospital which has no analogues intra-CIS was built on the initiative of the Kazakh President. The UK Government granted a credit up to USD 88 million for a term of 10 years.

The Kazakhstan-Switzerland Association was opened in 2005 in Zurich to bring together businessmen and politicians in order to promote bilateral cooperation in various spheres.

Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev, paying an official visit to the US, opened the Monument of Kazakhstan Independence in front of the Kazakh Embassy in Washington in 2006.

A unique archeological exponent, a metal pot, dated back to the Saka period, the VII-IV centuries BC, was unearthed in 2006 in Aksu-Zhabagly.

A presentation of the two-volume Selected Works of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev took place in 2010 in Moscow at the Kazakh Embassy in Russia.

A solemn opening of the Korean-Kazakh technological cooperation centre took place in 2011 at the Korean Innovation Cluster Fund (Daejeon, the Republic of Korea).
