1999 - President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev is awarded the highest title of laureates of the Friendship Society - "Dede Korkut - the Great Road" - at the Summit of the Turkic Speaking Countries dedicated to the 1300th Birth Anniversary of "Kitabi Dede-Korkut" in Baku.

2010 - The Avenue of Memory to the servicemen of the Internal Military Forces killed on the Tajikistan-Afghanistan border opens in Almaty.

2013 - A commemorative plaque to Mukhtar Auezov is unveiled at one of the houses in the street named after the Kazakh canonical writer in Bishkek, the Kyrgyz Republic.

2015 - "The Head of State's Scientific and Creative Works" exhibition, which presents over 3,000 works in the Kazakh, Russian, and English languages, opens at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty. Visitors see articles, essays about Nursultan Nazarbayev, and his works on historical, economic, social topics, to name but a few.

2017 - Dimash Qudaibergen wins the Best International Artist Award at the 17th Top China Music Awards.

- The Day of the Kazakh Culture is held in Moscow.

2018 - Finishing 2:09.31 in the men's 200m breaststroke event on the second day of the Open Swimming Championship of Spain, Kazakhstan's Dmitriy Balandin wins gold and sets the tournament record.
