International Mother Earth Day was instituted by the UN General Assembly under Resolution A/RES/63/278 on April 22, 2009. But for the first time in history it was marked back in 1970 in the U.S.


The regional memorial museum of Hero of the Soviet Union Aliya Moldagulova was opened in 1985 in Aktobe.

The First President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, signed a decree "On further reforms of the system of the law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan" to establish the military police of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan in 1997.

The 11th meeting of the Working Group on Kazakhstan's WTO accession was held in 2012 in Geneva. Representatives of foreign countries, including the U.S., China, Brazil, the EU, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan, Japan, India, and more expressed their support for Kazakhstan's WTO accession.

The National Academic Library of Kazakhstan hosted the opening of the Hall of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan in 2015. Menin Kazakhstanym (My Kazakhstan) book about the activities of the country's ethnic and cultural societies was presented during the opening ceremony.

The Honorary Consulate of Hungary was unveiled in 2016 in Aktobe.

In 2018, Beijing hosted a roundtable dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Kazakh poet, translator and teacher Magzhan Zhumabayev. At the event, Chinese students recited Zhumabayev's poems in Chinese and Kazakh.
